Gili Air Lagoon Resort By Waringin Hospitality

Would like to say we had the best experience one could ask for,the general manager went above and beyond in the help department always available with plenty of knowledge of the local surrounds,Staff are fantastic,great food and a pool to die for .

We stayed here in August 2025. While the booking and check-in process were well organized, the rooms were very worn and poorly maintained. We experienced multiple power outages and even lost water during our stay, which was very inconvenient. At check-in, staff were pushy about selling excursions, and one employee asked overly personal questions, which made us uncomfortable. Overall, the hotel did not meet expectations or justify the price.

The rooms located around the pool. Breakfast was decent Location Ability to hire bikes etc

- faulty electrical system- lights that didn’t work - bugs- manager a bit pushy about dinners- air conditioning struggled in heat of day- tv didn’t work

Great location on Gili Air, right on the southern end just around the corner from turtles. Super close to all restaurants, plus you can literally walk the whole island in about 1-2 hours.Very friendly and helpful staff, they were quick to accomodate anything you needed and were able to give you a good idea of what to pay.Staff were also able to help book any day trips or activities which made it really easy.Bungalow rooms were neat and tidy.We had an issue with our TV and A/C, and when I told the staff, they swapped it out immediately for us!Lagoon pool was so relaxing.The onsite massage was so good, one of the best massages I have had in Indonesia.The resort - while starting to age a little was exactly what I expected to see and was an amazing resort for a small island.

The only thing I could fault with this place that was really minor was the breakfast service was a little hit and miss. Could do with a bit more consistency with the time it took staff to prepare and what comes out.

There is a problem with this resort. It is hard to see where there has been any maintenance in several years. The approach is shabby and poorly lit, the deck is extremely dated and there is nothing to encourage paying trade. The outdoor lighting to the rooms needs to be updated as well as most of the common parts of the resort. The bathrooms are dreadful. There have been plants in what was clearly partly an outside bathroom (common in these parts) but there were a couple of struggling weeds and the rest of this garden(?) is just a muddy swamp. Everything is old and in need of replacement for example, the toilet seat is covered in scratches - no doubt from vigorous cleaning but it looks appalling. It seems like poor management is to blame for this state of affairs. The in house staff are doing their best but it is a losing battle. Such a shame.

The pool and the room style

The breakfast. Coffee was gritty and it took a long time for breakfast though we were the only ones there. I think it came from somewhere on other side of the island as it was cold

Access to the pool was great. Wonderful to walk out of the room straight into cooling water. Good aircon and shower. Location close to main street and shops/restaurants.

Could have had a proper coffee machine - only had Indonesian coffee for breakfast.

The staff were all wonderful

The room was not as advertised. The bathroom walls were full of mould. The pool was dirty. There was a lot of noise early in the morning from people taking care of the garden and maintenance. It needs renovation,looks very sad and disappointing. The breakfast was pathetic. We were so frustrated we made a decision to leave earlier and booked a different hotel for the rest of our holidays.

Beautiful place! Staff was very helpful and friendly. Pool is very nice and clean. Beach is right next to the resort. Restaurant is lovely with view over the ocean and a second pool. Highly recommended!

The circular pool is very nice, especially if you like to swim laps, but it is luke warm, so not very refreshing. The rooms were a good size. The location was close to the water and a strip of restaurants. The staff were very friendly and accomodating.

The A/C didn't work very well. It kept the room cool-ish. The room was not sealed so mosquitos got in. If we had a mosquito net, that problem would've been solved. They should really consider putting mosquito nets in every room. I would've given a much higher score if we had mosquito nets.

Just magic sitting by the pool staff are so helpful and friendly

Breakfast we a bit hit and miss

The location was fantastic, staff lovely, and the front pool looking out at the ocean was gorgeous

The lagoon swim out pool around the actual rooms was very dirty, with chicken feathers etc, floating in water, and dirty water line around the pool. We did not use this pool and that was the whole reason we booked this accommodation (which was more expensive than any of our other accom booked at other places moving around). Disappointing

The pools were lovely. The resort was an easy walk to the port and the high street and many restaurants and snorkling areas.

The gardens were a bit overgrown and we had a few issues with the aircons leaking but they did sort it out. It was a shame the pool bar at the main pool was closed but the other bar at the restaurant and 2nd pool was open. There was a lot of construction happening right outside the hotel where they were repairing damage to the sea wall but that was not the fault of the resort. There was no beach directly infront of the hotel

lovely pool directly out your door. Amazing location. Very comfortable bed. Lovely breakfast.Staff were so lovely and helpful.

Pool was very warm.You could hear EVERYTHING in the chalet next door which was strange as there was lots of room in between The bikes were pretty run down and rickety.

Pool at the front door of our villa was amazing.

Could have done with a top sheet on the bed as well as the doona as the doona was too hot.
